Meet Inge - The Heart and Soul

Inge has been either a business woman or a busy mom all her life. 1995, just one year after she immigrated with her family from Germany, she took over The Framing Post and started her career as a creative and artistic custom picture framer - she retired from picture framing end of 2013.

In 1999, Inge added the Needle & Arts Centre in the adjacent premises and rounded up an established all-in-one art and craft place, unique in Western Canada. Needlework supplies, functional pottery and decorational and gift items complement the growing yarn department. The Yarn Department of the Needle & Arts Centre expanded to become the yarn store with one of the biggest selections of quality yarns in Western Canada.

On top of picture framing and knitting, Inge always liked to give back to the community as a member of the Daybreak Rotary Club and by being involved in community beautification projects and the Pier Street Farmers Market.
